1. Brief introduction of the college
Shanghai University of Engineering Science Higher Vocational Technical College
Shanghai University of Engineering Science Higher Vocational Technical College is a secondary college providing higher education together with the vocational education. It is mainly propped up by Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering as well as Management Science and Engineering which are closely integrating with the development of the advanced Manufacturing Industry and the Modern Service Industry. The school is committed to training their students into highly skilled technical professionals who can be applied in production, service and management, being excellent in morality, intellectuality and fitness.
學院師資力量雄厚,目前,154名專任教師中,有博士9人,碩士47人,占整個教師總數(shù)的36.4%；副教授以上教師31人。高級技師11人,技師34人,占教師總數(shù)的29.2%；雙師型教師28人占專業(yè)教師總數(shù)的25.5%。
The college has a strong and sound teaching team. At present, in the 154 full-time teachers, 9 and 47 of them hold Doctor's degree and master’s degree respectively, which takes 36.4 percent; 31 of them are professors or associate professors. 11 senior technicians and 34 technicians take 19.2 percent of the whole faculty; “Double-qualified” teachers account for 25.5 percent of the professional teachers.
學院開設有“數(shù)控技術(shù)”,“模具設計與制造”,“國際商務”,“機電一體化技術(shù)”,“電氣自動化技術(shù)”,“連鎖經(jīng)營管理”和“機械制造工藝和設備”9個專業(yè)。其中“模具設計與制造”專業(yè)教學團隊為上海市高職院校教學團隊�！峨姽ぜ夹g(shù)》,《數(shù)控機床與編程》,《模具制造工藝》,《機械設計基礎》為市級精品課程。
Currently, the school has 9 specialties including Numerical Control Technology, Model Design and Manufacturing, International Business, Machinery and Electricity Integration, Electrical Automation, Chain Business Management and Mechanical Engineering. The professionals for “Model Design and Manufacturing” come from Shanghai Advanced Vocational School. “Electro technology”, "Programs for CNC Lathe Machine” and “A Basic Course for Mechanical Design” are awarded to be municipal fine courses.
學院擁有“上海市機電一體化公共實訓中心”,“上海市數(shù)控技術(shù)應用公共實訓中心”和“上海市模具設計與制造公共實訓中心”和一個校級“商品儲運與配送實訓中心”。各類設備先進,在全市同類院校中處于領(lǐng)先水平。學院不斷加強與德國,加拿大,日本,荷蘭,新加坡,韓國,香港等國家和地區(qū)的職業(yè)院校進行合作和交流。
The college has Shanghai's public training centers for Machinery and Electricity Integration Technology, CNC Technology together with the Model Design and Manufacturing. And it also owns a public training center for Commodity Storage and Transportation at school. It has taken a leading position among the local similar institutions in terms of the hardware facilities. And we have also established a long-term partnership with 283 employing units such as Shanghai Tobacco Machinery Limited Liability Company and Shanghai General Motors. With the electrical technology being closely integrated with computer science, students in this major will take the PLC Application Technology together with the Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Maintenance Application as main courses, learning Mechanical Foundation, Power and Electron Technology, Electromechanical Control, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Transmission Technology, Detection Technology and Application at the same time. In this specialty, Electronic Techniques are combined with Communication Technology and Integrated Circuits Technology. It is based on the principle theories of the modern electrical technology and communication technology. We will give the priority to the Integrated Circuits Technology and combine it with the EDA (Electrical Design Automation) and advanced Manufacturing Engineering, highlighting intellectualization in manufacturing electrical products. 本專業(yè)實行外語和外貿(mào)并重，強調(diào)國際商務基本原理與知識，突出國際商務實際操作技能、國際商務語言交流能力以及國際商務經(jīng)營管理能力，使學生熟悉國際商務領(lǐng)域的新法規(guī)、新操作；注重實際工作能力，熟練應用商務英語，掌握電子商務技術(shù)在貿(mào)易領(lǐng)域的應用。培養(yǎng)適應社會主義市場經(jīng)濟需要的，有較強的國際商務和外貿(mào)實務操作能力具有一定創(chuàng)新精神的，德、智、體、美全面發(fā)展的，能夠進行現(xiàn)代國際商務經(jīng)營和管理的，具有較強綜合職業(yè)能力的高級技術(shù)應用型人才。

International Business pays equal attention to foreign languages and foreign trade courses, emphasizes on basic principles and knowledge of international business, stresses distinguishing feature of operation skills of international business, language communication ability of international business and management ability of international business. Enable students to familiar the new regulations the new laws, regulations and practices in international business area; pay more attention to the abilities of practical works, good command in business English, and application of electronic commerce technology in the trade field; cultivate the students as senior technology applied talents with comprehensive vocational abilities to meet the needs of the construction and development of socialist market economy, have a better operation ability in international business and foreign trade practice, equips with equipped with good abilities to innovate, achieve all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique, and conduct operation and management of modern international business.

Computer Network Technology (secondary vocational education)
本專業(yè)主要培養(yǎng)從事網(wǎng)絡集成與工程監(jiān)理、Web網(wǎng)頁制作與網(wǎng)站設計、信息安全與網(wǎng)絡管理的網(wǎng)絡技術(shù)應用型人才。培養(yǎng)學生在掌握網(wǎng)絡的相關(guān)理論知識基礎上，具有從事計算機網(wǎng)絡與信息系統(tǒng)集成、網(wǎng)絡設備配置、網(wǎng)絡管理和安全維護的基本能力，以及基于Web的軟件開發(fā)等方面的初步能力。通過三年的學習和實訓，畢業(yè)生能在企業(yè)單位從事一線網(wǎng)絡技術(shù)工作。
Computer Network Technology engaged in training applied talents of network technology in network integration and project supervision, Web and site design, information security and network management. Based on mastering the relevant theoretic knowledge of network, cultivate the basic abilities of students to engage in the computer network and information system integration, network equipment configuration, network management and safety maintenance, and preliminary abilities based on Web software development. Through three years of learning and training, graduate shall be qualified to engage in network technology work in enterprises.

Since the eighties the twentieth century, our college took advantage of the reform and opening up policy, guided by the instructions of "three orientations" of comrade Deng Xiaoping, closely cooperated with the Shanghai senior professional technology training center, vigorously developed the vocational training oriented to society, enterprises and regional economy. In accordance with the economic situation, social development of Shanghai, and actual demand of various talents in the advanced manufacturing and modern service industry, we continue to improve the teaching condition, perfect the professional training system, and put forth effort to form our characteristic. In developing Shanghai senior professional technology training center, we established adult education strategic alliances as "Shanghai TV University Project Zhongshan Branch", "Tianjin Engineering Normal College Shanghai Correspondence Station" and "Shanghai Engineering Technology University Continue Education College Evening University", which provide "one-stop" quality service for the general students.
